What is it?
“The Loudhailer” is an anglophone paper-only solidarity newsletter distributed for free in Canada. It’s not the simple direct translation of its francophone counterpart “Le porte-voix”. Its aims are to reflect the reality of all communities. It’s also aimed at lessening the barriers for working-class solidarity in the country.
What does it talk about?
The texts are journalistic in nature and inform about initiatives, issues, and collective, autonomous, and self-managed social struggles. These can take place at work, in neighborhoods, in all communities.
Can I contribute?
Do you have a struggle, an issue, or an initiative to share? Write a short text between 50 and 200 words accompanied by an image (which is is licensed for use). Your article should normally be able to answer the following questions: what, when, who, where, why, how? Send your text in .doc (or .odt) format to the email address at the bottom of this page. We may ask you for some modifications. No need to wait for the deadline to send us your text; we accept articles at any time. We might translate your article in French for “Le porte-voix”.
The deadline for Autumn 2026 issue is mid-September
